NEW ZAINO REPLACEMENT -- WHAT THE #?#

Here is a link to the Corvette forum and a link to the new "Zaino ZFX."

I bought a few bottles of Z2 and Z6 -- It looks like Sal has come up with a new and better product. I wonder what I will get to do with the old stuff?

Here is the link (if it is bull, then so be it):

It could be true...

Sal was working on a faster drying product.

But just because that guy said "it dries almost instantly" I have to say this is prolly BS.

Give Sal an e-mail... he responds to shit in like 5 minutes.

Being pre-release, I wonder if he will comment. I'll give it a try -- what can it hurt?

BTW -- the old products are not being replaced.

If anyone out there had a ton of Z2, Z5 or other goodies, you will just be happier.

That's all for now!

Zaino is going to be even better

Sal is the man, I'm sure the stuff is good....he has a 98 Viper GTS, and was going to get a Diablo at one point (last year)- don't know if he ended up getting it....with him, you never know.

The difference is in the amount of time that you have to wait between "sessions" (and some other stuff). If I can put on 4-coats in a day, I'll be very happy. I have a very "choppy" schedule of late, and would love to put on 4-5 coats in a day. I'm not sure of the exact details, but the new additive is coming, and Sal makes great stuff.

Gold -- sorry, not all of us live in Microwave ovens during the summer. Look at it this way, you have your own Summertime paint booth, and it's portable -- it follows you around in your area

BTW -- he was nice enough to respond this evening to my questions (Soopa you are correcto).

My E-Mail to Sal last night:

<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">
Sal,

I am a current Zaino customer.
I am running low on several products and will need to refresh my supplies shortly.

I read on several Auto Websites that there is a new improved product coming out shortly.
I would like to know when this will be available for purchase before I place my next order.

Thanks and keep the great products coming,
Shawn S

His Reply:

Not yet.... Sorry...

The new Zaino product will be an accelerative additive that can be mixed
with Z-2, Z-3 or Z-5....

Below are just a few of the improvements....

1. When mixed as per directions, you will not need to apply Z-1...
2. It will reduce the drying time, thus making the polish more user friendly
in damp environments...
3. It will increase the gloss factor and extend the durability level..
4. It will have an instant cure time, so you can immediately apply multiple
coats.. No more waiting between coats...
5. And more........

So stay tuned and please be patient for the release date....

Sal

wait i'm confused, will ZFX come as a ready to use solution for all waxing/polishing needs or will be have to buy Z-3, Z-5 and mix it with ZFX? It would make life a lot easier of Zaino made a one bottle solution...

Shawn,

I got the EXACT same boilerplate response (he did add a lot of extra info for some other stuff). He must be getting a million and one requests for info on the new product.

From the "preliminary" reviews on the Corvette forum, this should TOP the already great product.

Nice how responsive he is....

By the time I use up my zaino supplies, I hope this enhanced zaino product will show up

This is after a Z7 car wash on some one month old zaino coats after couple t-storms

Sal does the same for ALL questions.

Fine by me... if it helps him respond faster.

But yea... same generic response to everything hehe.
