New Stone or Used Comptech...

what should i do? id get comptechs headers but dont see spending the 1100 for them new so used would be the choice or go with these new stone headers for 400. what u guys think?

it's a non-moving part, so if you can get used Comptech for the same price, I would go for it. Otherwise go for the cheaper one. I got Comptech (6 Speed version) because at the time I was considering the chance of trading up to a 6 speed, but never did.. (dealer want an arm and a leg for the trade)

id still most likely end up paying more for used comptechs then the new stone headers. I dunno these stone headers seem like there gunna be good.

I'm pretty pleased with the Stones, so far. I had no desire to spend the money for Comptech at this time, so I went with Stone. I have no comparison, though, so I can't really say if it were worth the savings. See if you can find someone who has CT, and someone who has Stone, and try to get a ride in each. That's about the only way I could imagine you'd be able to truly distinguish the better value (in your eyes). It'll be hard to beat CT's quality, but it'll certainly cost you. Good luck!

just curious, but how much do used comptech usually sell for and where can you find them?

Pretty damn good. There was a small problem with one of the holes on the front, but it was corrected with a small amount of adjustment. Overall, it's a lot better than the original OBXs.
