New mods that might interest you !!!!!

I was going to put the pics. in gallery but maybe you guys would like the mods I have put on. Not only that but maybe one of you might want to buy my car as is so I can get my CLK430

by the way the new mods are as follows

grounding kit compliments of Insanemine

Alpine 6 cd changer acquired from Titand19

new Infinity Perfect VQ (this sub can be put in a box as little as .04 cubic ft.)

I also threw in some new pics of the car for some of you that wanted to see better pics of the inside and out...hope you enjoy.

are you selling your other mods other than the ones you listed above? struts, sways, springs, stereo?

and you know the word is 'but' not 'put' as in "but maybe you guys" and "not only that but".

I thought it was a typo but you typed it twice...

Insanemine sells them and they are perfect in length...as you can see from the pics. The car idles so steady you can barely tell if the car is on

as far as the power I couldnt tell much difference put you can definetly notice the smoother idling.

^^ .04...its adjustable but not to that small of a space....ha. you can actually mount the VQ free air if you want.

I just got a 12 inch perfect vq and its one of the best sounding subs I've ever heard. I have to keep my bass negative and the gain flat or it busts your eardrums.

how much wattage RMS are you pumping...Im giving it 492 rms and it barely seems like its pushing it. I had the gains all the way at made my amplifier to clip now Im looking for a better mono amp. this sub is made of that magnesium crap but it sounds so fawking tight and clean...I couldnt believe my ears.

Lou, the Rockford amps are a bit weak, they rate their amps to peak power not rms, (average continuous power).
Not to mention the power the Rockford is putting out depends on the voltage it's drawing upon at a given time. The Rockford's are rated at 14.4 volts and usually your car is not feeding that much voltage to the amp.
The JL amps, like your 300/4, are much more conservatively rated and feature a regulated power supply. This means it puts out it's rated power all the time, no matter what the voltage.
My friend on this site Tool462 had two Rockford 500 watt monoblocks and we were both driving two Boston Pro Series 10.5's, but I had a JL 500/1 powering my Boston's.
The 500/1 ate the Rockford for lunch and our set-up was identical other than the sub amp. Needless to say he yanked the Rockford's and put in the JL. Each of our Boston's fit into a .5 cubic foot enclosure as well, which is nice. Also, extremely efficient subs rated at 96 db. I'm actually surprised more of you haven't looked at the Boston Pro Series, everybody is in love with JL.

I have it running off a kenwood excelon kac x520, 500 watts rms. It sounds incredibly good. That amp kicks ass, highly recommend it.

oh and I have the gain flat and bass at 0 and its still bumpin...if I turn the bass up a little or raise the gain to even +6, it hits harder than you probably would want for normal listening. The gain is adjustable to +18...at that high it feels like sitting in a massage chair.
