I would like to place my order for a RL-based rwd/awd 300whp true sport-based luxury coupe.

Thank you.

I would too…. As long as it’s built in JAPAN and not by US UAW workers.

A bit OT, but wouldn't that outsource jobs to overseas.

Yea, you got me there.
But usually outsourcing leads to lower quality.

And technically WE are the outsourcing of Honda since they were originally all built in Japan.
I guess that explains some of that theory.

I might buy a used acura the next time around. By the time Acura comes out with a coupe in a couple of years, I might be tempted to buy a low mileage 2005 RL instead (especially if the new coupe is not made in Japan).

looks a little heavy, i would want a 320hp v8, harharharharharhar. but i plan to keep my CL until it dies, and right now, for my next car i'm thinking about a 6 speed TRUCK. I;ve been watching alot of TRUCKS!!! and kind of got hooked. But you never know, i shouldnt even be thinking about a new car, i hope mine has another 6-10 years to it

sounds like they're gonna replace the CL with a new version of the prelude to stay in the same price range.

the new "concept" CL looks like it's gonna be comepletely different from the now-CL base. I'm guessing 2 seater if the NSX goes away.

To quote my Wife, " If Acura made a new CL Type S, we would not have bought our G 35 Coupe"
She has driven it since 01 and still loves it.
I have to say I do prefer the styling of the G 35 to her CL. The front end of the CL has always been its weak spot. The differances between the two,
The G accelerates harder, handles better.
The CL has some better features
(memory seats, heated driver seat, not bun warmer, better mpg, probably due to different gearing.
I like the idea of 4wd,TL based.
Look forward to it.

I'm a Acura fan but nothing in that lineup really excites me.

everything looks so bulky to me. i wouldnt mind something a little nicer than the 00 model of the prelude. i think acura should produce more colors too. like VW does.

RL - 50,000$ 300HP

Wouldnt you consider the NSX the flagship over the RL? (at about 40K$ more)

I took delivery of my white 01 CL-S in February 2000. I do not think you will see a TL or RL coupe anytime soon. Honda has dropped plans for the NSX replacement. If it ain't an SUV, it ain't selling.

It looks like Honda will be pushing A-Spec models like this one:
