New Brakes & Grille *PICS*
Finally got to snap some pics of the brakes and a pic of the front with the new grilles. Car also has the B-pipe installed now as well. BTW anyone know how to remove or permantly disable the VSA system on the 5AT? Thanks any ideas or comments appreciated.

Those wheels with the brake setup looks awesome. Grill looks nice but i'd still put an Acura emblem in the center. Otherwise your car looks tits.
BTW are you riding directly on the rim or is there a tire separating it from the ground?

Wow, cool setup $$$, those rims are badda$$. Disabling VSA? Coudn't you wire a relay off the starter ckt. and have it switch your VSA off for you. So basically when you start the car VSA get's switched off. Make sure you have the propper volatage to the switch though.

Thanks for the comments. I got the grille here via the group buy, the lower grille is the same "race" patter. Pieces came perfectly cut. The braking is dramaticaly improved, and I was running Endless pads, SS cables and drilled rotors before, but the Brembos are night and day.
Aaron, ETA on 3.5 is early March Piece by Piece. Still have some problems with the VSA accepting my super-tranny, any trouble shooting would be appreciated.
Chaptorial:Thanks buddy, maybe its time to invest in a pressure gauge!

I was supposed to get back with you on this, sorry for the delay. The simplest method would be to just tale the VSA throttle out of the intake tract. You could just tie it off under the hood.
If you do want to completely remove it you will need to always have the VSA button set to disable. A resistor or a jumper across a couple of the VSA terminals would be all that is needed.

Thanks Steve! I 'll try the second option I think. Should I remove my VSA component form the trottlebody?
Brakes were just above 2K installed.
I have the car at the stereo shop because of a high draw on the electrical system. Maybe my stock alternator can't keep up. Anybody know if we can upgrade instead of rewinding? Thanks

hey Logan, I've got the Helm's service manual. There were 3 connectors for VSA listed so I scanned them all. First is for the 22-pin connector, 2nd for the 16-pin and last for the 26-pin connector. I have no idea which one you'd need to jumper though

You would actually need to simulate 3.7 VDC into pin 2 of connector A. You could use a 5VDC source for the MAP, install a potentiometer (100k would be fine) and adjust the output to 3.7 VDC and feed this to that input.

The car is comming in around 700 lbs above stock weight. I am going to re-weigh it after I get it back from the sound shop. The car has been to the track 2 different times and I am waiting to the 3.5 w/ high boost pulley are in before I shave the handles (doors already have poppers installed) so I run it one more time at my local drag.
Roleez : I am in agreence with your recomendation. I have lost two of these particular style rims to potholes and have gone thorugh numerous fixed rims till new ones arrived. One of the few drawbacks to sporting 19's on a race dropped car.
