Need advice for PDG body work in Canada

I creased (5 inch dent) my rear bumper up here in the Canadian wilderness. Actually I backed into a low curb in a parking lot of a high rise condo in Mississauga, Ontario.

Luckily the only damage is the bumper, but it looks like I need the whole bumper, no touch up.

Can anyone tell me if PDG is a color that is available in Canada.?

Also, I plan to call Erin Mills Acura. Anyone has any experience with them? There are about 8 dealers in the Toronto area. Any thoughts on who's the best to do this job?

Finally, what do you think it would cost?

I'd like to compare the US price vs. the Canadian price.

Anyone out there ever replace the rear bumper?? Prices??

Thanks for any response.

From what I hear Woodbine Acura is the best.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the reply. Wow two thumbs down for Erin mills. I'm glad I asked. I will call Sherway and woodbine today. I'm not that concerned with a little higher of a price, as long as the guys doing the work don't hack up my car.

No I didn't move up here, but I'm on a job that will keep me here till about Feb or Mar. I fly home every other weekend and leave my PDG parked in the underground of the condo I'm staying in. I live right across from square one, how about you guys???

Yes, there is PDG in Canada.... Most bodyshops should have an original colour match for.....

I would recommend Leon's Auto Body in North York, it is a little bit out of the way, but they do outstanding work at a great price.

I went to Acura 2000 today in Brampton. Talked with Tony. He will remove and replace with a new bumper painted for $847. I ordered a cup holder, moonroof mod (n/c of course) with tax came to $912. When I fly in monday, he should have the bumper painted and ready to install. I should be back in business before next weekend. Thanks for the replies.

PDG's short for Pimp Daddy Gold. AKA the limited run Sundance Gold exterior color.

I'm in NJ today, but when I stop into Acura 2000 next week I'll try to give your salesman a heads up that he got an internet kudos from you.

I tried to call my local dealer today (saturday ) for a price comparision, but they were closed.

I think the Canadian price will beat the US price, because when I saw my damage my brain immediately thought, "$1000+ US down the drain".

Final report from canada:

Acura 2000 took care of me. Many thanks to Tony and George. They got me in and out, as promised. The bumper looks factory. They did a great job on the paint. I have the upgraded cupholder. I had a ding removed. You can't tell it was ever there. They washed the car and would have given me a free loaner but they were already reserved by other customers. They could not do the moonroof teflon tape fix because it was a US car ?????? They call warranty work "campaign" work. total bill was $1025 canadian.

bottom line is my scarred car looks brand new again.
