My car just died

my CL is dead, the head gasket went and the car was just towed away

the past few days it's been feeling/running funny. Drove it over 200 miles yesterday and it had trouble getting over 75, today is was vibrating alot, and i went to take it out of the garage to wash it and the thing was shaking so badly the cd player was skipping. so i thought maybe i burnt off all the oil. i check the dipstick and it get a nice milky color of oil, i open the oil filler cap and i see this crap

since i bought the car it's been running like complete shit, i complained a few times to Acura, they checked the car said nothing is wrong numerous times, so i left it

Drove to Atlantic City(100) miles on Saturday night, car seemed ok except for the navigation thinking i was in the water the whole time. drove home and it wouldn't go over 75MPH and was vibratiing badly. So i had to go for pretesing at the hosptial yesterday morning, and i noticed the check engine like blinked a few times, but that was because i lost traction over a puddle, and from what i know it does that cause it thinks there is a misfire. Fiance came over and we took a ride to Costco, first it wouldn't start. then finally it started, and the car just didn't seem right. so i put the car in the garage and it sits for a few hours. i decide i need to wash it, start it up and holy shit it was vibrating so bad that the cd player skipped. i pull it out of the garage and there was so much white smoke coming from the tail pipe, i shut it off and called roadside

Right, but what I was really asking for was what's wrong in the picture? I can't really see it clearly.

Wow...

Fortunately, there are some great CL minds here that may be able to help troubleshoot and figure out what went wrong.

Good luck with everything! Hopefully the dealer will come through for you.

He is showing milky oil, so water and oil mixed = milky substance.

Did you bring it back to that same Acura dealer?? Did you originally purchase your CL there?? (Sidenote: Acura service advisors are starting to sound a bit like Nissan SAs)

Good luck RB. I hope they cover the repairs.

yup always take it back to them, my dad happens to be good friends with the sales manager. so that normally makes things easier(navigation replaced 3 times)

I know this is a long shot, but see if you can aquire those valve covers and I'll buy them from you. They may clean them and use them on the new motor, but if you wouldn't mind, give it a try. Might as well ask for the world, try to get the bolts as well. tanks

Ask if they can swap in the J32 from the 3G TL, while they're at it.

A headgasket seals both the compression of the cylinders and the coolant which flows between the block and the head. When your headgasket is "blown", i.e. crack or tear in the headgasket, then there are a few problems. One is a loss of coolant.

Coolant can be lost from the leak in the gasket into the cylinder. From there it can go past the piston rings and into the crankcase or it can be forced out of the exhaust system b/c the piston pushes it on the exhaust stroke.

If the coolant enters the crankcase it mixes with engine oil. Oil and water don't mix. If you add antifreeze and the heat/movement caused by internal engine parts, i.e. crankshaft, pistons, rods, etc. it can whip the mixture of coolant and oil into a milkshake.

And that is what you see in that pic.

In my experience, not changing the antifreeze causes this as well as a seized thermostat, which causes the head gasket to go....Also have em check the heater core, if i were you
