My 6 speed dyno #'s

http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...hreadid=126938

In summary 218whp/206wtq. Not bad for only 6100 miles I guess. Assuming 15% driveline loss thats 256.5hp/242.4tq at the crank. It should be noted that it only has 6100 miles on it, and needs it's second oil change soon, so maybe after 10k it may pick up a couple more hp, I dunno.

I noticed my car felt stronger after 7500 miles or so. I think Hondas definitely loosen up after a while.

Good numbers and right in line with where you should be. BTW, the 6-Speed has about a 17% loss. The greater amount is mainly due to the HLSD. This then brings the cranks numbers to 262.7.

While that may in fact be true, that would mean that I have 248 lb ft of tq at the flywheel. I find that a bit of a stretch, but who knows.

Ireally dont care what it translates into crank hp because who cares what it makes at the crank. It's pretty tempting to look at headers & intake to shoot for somewhere near 250hp at the wheels, but for the same amount of money my mustang could have nearly 300hp at the wheels. :P

It does seem a bit high but the 17% seems sound and was somewhat verified by TOV testing.

Where did the peak torque come in at??

Peak torque was 3500 rpm and peak hp was ~ 6300 rpm, so pretty close to what the factory calls for.

scalby, I have always wondered about this, and please forgive me because I don't mean to start a lame flame war, but could you tell me the crank horsepower/torque numbers here. There isn't a limited slip differential so will it be 15% or 17% loss? I'm confused.

this is stock from Vtec.net too btw

I did 3 runs in 5th and 2 runs in 4th. Read my 1st post, it explains why.

I went to Advanced Chassis Dyno in Sterling Heights. Ask for Andy, he's a good guy. It's on 16mile between Mound & Van Dyke.

Interesting, did you try 3rd at all??

Everytime I tried 4th instead of 3rd the numbers dropped which is contrary to what I would expect.

The AV6 6-Speed is ultra efficient losing just 10% so the crank HP is 241.

No I didnt because 4th is already providing tq multiplicatipon greater than 1:1 because it has a ratio of 1.250. Going to 3rd maybe would net a hp or two, but the tq would probably drop significantly. Look what happened when I went from 5th-4th, I gained 7whp but lost ~5 wtq. I realized that 5th was too tall to get truely accurate numbers because I knew that it no way made 210 lb feet of tq at the wheels.

I already have some sticky 235/45 Kuhmo 712's for the stock wheels, so that may already put me alongside you.

And the Mustang gets the go-fast mods. 260hp is plenty for my daily driver.

And it was done on a DynoJet 248c I believe.

i rather mod the cl-s than the stang, just drop it and get intake and headers....

will put u in the 13's if u could launch it...

i'm thinking we should go to norwalk right when it opens, i heard that track is way better than milan

Well, you can mod your CL-S than, and with the same amount of money my Mustang will be in the 12's.
