It was a porsche it looked like a 911 turbo.. all i know is it was a late model one and had a turbo badge on it. He kept weaving in traffic behind me when he got up to me he reved at me. i was like im sooo gonna loose i was going about 30mph he guns it i gun it i kept up for like a second then he was gone. then he slowed down and i caught him at a light. i saw a patch of water in front of me in my lane kuz they just watered the grass. well needless to say we both gun it at the light. i had him by 1 car till i hit the patch of water then my tires spun a lil. he got the lead and kept going... i couldnt catch up. about 5 cars in front of me he waves out of his sunroof. next light i had to turn so i waved back and got in the left turn lane. he pulled a double u turn by the time he got to the light it was red so he stoped next to me. he rolled down the window and so did i. he said good race and that he tried to bait me 4 or 5 times. lol... i gave him a thumbs up said nice car and "dat shit is fast yo!" and then i turned off.

 

he must not have been trying when you pulled him off the line. those cars run a 0-60 in around 4 seconds.

 

yeah, not trying. maybe had it been an NA carrera that had a horrible launch, but not a turbo.

he probably didnt think you were going to run against him, so he was slow off the line. He should pull at least 5 cars on you by 60mph.

drove by a 911 turbo and a 575 Maranello on Peachtree St today. The 996 was driving mad slow on the street, but when we jumped on the buford connector (midtown ATL) I just heard this WOT screaming behind, then past me. I was going 80 and i just watched him carve a set of turns and then disappear. It was awe-inspiring...

yea i love driving around Buford, and Brookhaven. its ricer central, they see some stock looking 3.0 CL, (and yea im still stock) but god almighty those CRXs have no idea how badly id rip the chassis off of them if i had the shit for brains to race in the middle of buford highway like they do

 

one of my boys smoked the shit out of a turbo 911 (996) on the highway with a supercharged 5.0 that runs (12.0s all day) plus this guy is an awesome driver, he will beat ur time at the track first time he drives ur car, its crazy. he runs 15.0 in his bone stock 1992 GSR, and 15.1 in a bone stock SE- R Spec V.
