Mud Flaps?
Mud Flaps?
I just remembered while checking tire pressures today that I never got any 'mudflaps' with the car. Sometimes I notice some crap and debris flung up on the car.... soooo, think I should get some mudflaps? Sometimes I thnk they look dumb, but I'd rather keep the side of the car nice. What do you think?
I have them and rarely get any crap flung on the rear bumper, and minimal amount on the side sills. I contemplated painting them to flow better, but I read that they dont adhere to paint well and they will flake eventually.
I don't mind the mud-flaps - makes the car look accessorized!! I'd prefer if they were body-colored like the Z though!
In any case, I will take them off when I track the car - too much wind resistance!!

I vote yes, I like they way they look, especially if you get them painted to match, and actually I think OEM parts places, sells them color keyed.
May want to check with Juniorbean if ccc.net carries them.

If you are big on protecting your car, why not. Also, if you plan to get stickier tires, mudflaps would be a good investment. I got my mudflaps on ebay for cheap, PM me and I will send the ebay store info.
dude i still get nasty peices of shit on my bumper WITH the flaps... if i didnt have em on...
rocks and more shit would have been there instead...
and they look hot...

since the paint jobs on these cars suck you have to EVERYTHING you can to keep the paint from chipping off as you drive. so mud flaps are a MUST HAVE for these cars. if the paint quality was better then i'd say bag 'em.
Mud flaps
I have the factory mud flaps on my red CL, and I don't think that they look bad. I am also glad that I had them after a trip to the national aquarium in baltimore. I was going south on I-83 in maryland, when the vehicles in front of me started hitting brakes, and swerving. I could not see why, and then, I started running over large pieces of drywall and other shit. I did not stop, and only noticed the problem after parking in baltimore. Not only did I run over broken pieces of drywall, that apparently fell off of a truck, but I also ran over tubes of liquid nails, that broke open, and splattered all over my wheel wells, and some on the side of the car. I was pissed! Fortunately, I had just waxed the car, and the mud flaps limited the amount of liquid nails that got on the paint. I was able to peel off the dried liquid nails on the paint, but the stuf in the whel wells is still there. I am sure the mud flaps helped.
