Hello friends, have to perform maintenance before it is required (at least 2K more miles for the indicator to go on). Want to do this right away (long story, was caught by flash flood). My question is, since the "maint reqd" light is not yet ON (lit), is there a way I can re-set indicator so it starts counting (for next maintenance) from the time I do maintenance now?? (I could always keep track taking note of the mileage but the idea is to take advantage of the indicator, it is for me very useful). All the best!

 

it will reset from the mileage point after you reset it. You can reset it at any milage.

 

It's just an idiot light, designed to come on at certain mileage intervals after you've reset it. I reset it every time it comes on without doing any work on my car.
