jucee... its plenty durable... all factory lip spoilers are taped.

when you buy an M3 or an M5 from BMW... it comes with a taped on spoiler.

Exactly. You wouldn't believe how sticky that adhesive is. I have an M5 spoiler on my TL and I needed help installing/aligning it b/c the second that adhesive touches the car.... it's stuck and there's no moving it.

BTW rabbs, thanks for the order!

If you had a factory spoiler recently on your car, will the M5 spoiler cover over the holes that were drilled or is the spoiler too narrow??

Nope. You'll have to trade your trunk lid with another owner who wants a spoiler. That would be the best way.

Got the order... thanks to you too!

Smitty... Like CLS2001 more or less said... they won't do a good job of covering the holes b/c they are narrow.

Thanks...

Well, it's kind of one size fits all. The M3 and M5 spoiler are basically the same, with the exception that the M3 spoiler is about an inch and a half shorter. Because of that I would not recommend putting the M3 spoiler on a TL as the M5 fits perfectly. On a CL you can use either or as we've sold both to CL owners with good results. However, that said it seems that the M5 spoiler is the most popular for either car....
