M5 Lip Spoiler (DONT FLAME ME)

Hey guys, I am about to buy a lip spoiler, but I want to make sure I get a good product for a good price and was wondering if anyone can reffer me to a link or an ebay auction where I can purchase something someone got and is satisfied with.

I also want to know if you had to have it painted.

Thanks for all the help

- V

I went to the site, but spoilers there are 150 and on ebay they are about 60 so I was wondering what the difference was.

Yeah, I thought about the cheapy aftermarket but then decided that for a spolier, only $150, OEM, & just for the fact that it's from the M5...

I went w/OEM, another $50 for paint & you're in heaven!

I dunno! I didn't touch it!!

But from my past experience on other items....

Not only the material, but fitment & life expectancy.

the ebay ones are crap and probably won't fit as perfect as the OEM ones

Do you have to bend and mold them to fit our trunks?

Hey guys i just checked out the site (c-c-c.net in regards to the OEM spoiler so i'm assuming it's the one for $250 right? Where did someone get the $150 from when they were referring to the OEM spoiler? Not unless i'm just misunderstanding what was said. Also just to clarify, the OEM spoiler that is $250 on the website is the same spoiler that would be on the your if you were to actually go to Acura and ask for a wing spoiler to be added right? I've been thinking about getting a spoiler on my 01 CL-S but i'm not trying to pay a total of $700 +/- to have it done, so this would definitely be the way to go. If someone could help me out with this i'd appreciate it.

Thanks,

go OEM or go home

Too many problems with replicas although many members have had them work. Not worth the risk in my opinion. Plus you get to say you have a real M5 spoiler

I went to the BMW Parts department & asked for an '03ish M5 spoiler, paid about $120 (I believe Retail price is about $150)

I paid about $50 for paint & done ...

...OEM M5 spolier installed & I was stoked!

So if you get the wing spoiler from c-c-c.net no one would actually be able to tell if it's a genuine part or after market part just by looking at it right? B/c i noticed that it also has the brake light in the spoiler just like the genuine does

brake light? you must be looking at the acura cl oem spoiler...bmwM5 lip does not have a brake light.

i paid about $50 for the spoiler, and had it installed and painted. it came with 3M heavy duty double sided tape.

and no, you cant tell the difference.

Yea andre that's the one i'm talking about. The cl OEM spoiler. So you can't tell the difference b/t the two correct? Just as long as the paints match up correctly i should be good?

Probably, but the OEM comes painted already & like the Honda's, it might say CL on the bottom of it like the Civic/Accord spoliers but judging by the price... I'm almost positive that it's aftermarket!
