Question Lurch

If I have my 01 CL-S in D5 and am stationary, every so often i'll get a lurch strong enough to overpower the light pressure i'm applying to the brake to keep the car from idling forward. I thought it might be the A/C cycling on causing the rpm's to jump a little but it does the same thing with my A/C off.

Does anyone else have (had) that problem? Any ideas what it might be?

Taken from the 2nd gen FAQ:
Why does the engine surge/leap forward sometimes while idling?

Consensus is that it is the air conditioner turning off or another power source (like the radiator fan) switching off, hence suddenly giving power to the engine.
So be careful if you are idling close to something (people at a crosswalk / your garage door ) - keep that brake down.
If you are just halfheartedly holding the brake down the car could leap forward a few feet.
