Looking at 2001 CL-S

Ok I am currently looking at a 2001 CL-S with 28k miles on it for 18k. I am coming here to see if there is anything I should be looking for that may be wrong with it that may happen frequently or be a reason not to get it.

The miles are really low but damn! $18,000.00!!! I wouldn't touch it for that price. Is it certified? I think if you could get them down to $14k-$16K you'd be alright.

I'd look for:
broken motor mounts-prbably have to have a tech check that unless you feel an unplesant shake of the engine when you start it up.
has the tranny ever been replaced or did the recall work get done?
do the headlights work ok?
test drive it at night and see if the review auto-dim mirror works

I can't think of anything else right at the moment but I'm sure someone else will.

so 18 is actually a bad price you think. the only place I have looked is kelley blue book and they suggest it is worth 19,300. personally I thought it was a little high and more in the range of 16k-17k myself. you really think it shouldnt be worth more than 14k-16k at most.

It's pretty steep considering you can get an 03 for 18K with about 30K miles.

I wouldn't pay 18K for an 01 CLs. The miles are really low, but for that cash, you can get a 6 speed.

$18k is WAY too much for an '01. Unless it's made of solid gold...
