I'm taking my car in to the dealer next week to get all the 'little' things fixed under warranty. Here's the list so far:

1. Sunroof rattle
2. Windshied wiper hose replacement
3. Brake shimmy
4. Check the transmission

Anyone have anything else to add to the list?

 

if you can, get them to change rotors and pads, if they just resurface the rotors, you will end up going back in again. they may have to special order the upgraded brake parts

 

i got my driver seat's wire fixed.

 

Check the actuator.

 

Then sunroof rattle is a documented problem. They fix it with tape... it is sort of Mickey Mouse but it helps.

 

I had a sunroof rattle also. Rub your finger on the rubber on the front of the sunroof, If there is black on your finger, its the weather stripping. Just lube it up.

 

Hey SidVicious, I remember reading a post somewhere on this forum that a lot of dealers don't know what the actuator is!

Is there another name for it, so when I bring in my car for service I can get them to check it?

 

What product can you use to lube the weather stripping, and how is it done exactly?

Does the Tape that the dealer installs to fix the rattle have any visual side effects from the outside of the car? ...from inside?

It took me forever to convince them , dont give up . Tell them to look at a new one and be there with them , when it turns then go to your car, show them yours doesnt . they will then fix it .

pcm replaced due to check engine light coming on

The tape they installed cannot be seen on the outside. With the sunroof open I can see the tape, but it matches my car (silver). I was told this is a documented fix for the problem... who knows.

 

I got under warranty...

Sunroof rattle fixed
Door rattle fixed
passenger seat creaks
Radio replace, any cd skips
Navi screen replace, looks like a bar code randomly on startups

all these were fixed by Park Ave Acura at no charge..duh! Warranty...gotta love it...

 

any notes on the driver window rattle?

I know I'm rehashing an old thread, but how does one know if his actuator is faulty?

I had to have all my windshield washer jets and hoses replaced. The motor worked fine, but the jets would only dribble--never shoot. They work fine now, and smoke cigarettes after each use. Schwing!
