Question LED Turn Signal Bulb Question

Have any of you guys tried the 1157 bulbs like the ones listed on the link below for the front or rear turn signals?

http://www.lightlens.com/ledbulbs.htm

The ones I'm really curious about are:

1157 LED Amber Twist Mount Turn Signal Bulbs

1157 LED Super Bright Amber Bulbs (LED1157SA)

I'm wondering about these because I'm unsure of how well these will reflect off the interior of the headlamp housing. Has anyone tried these?

Try it out. Let me know how it goes. I'm in the marker for new corner bulbs also.

superbrightleds(dot)com has LEDs that not only straight up but out in all directions too. i put them in my dome lights, and map lights and they seem to work very well, lots of illumination, as opposed to an almost laser type light output

They've got what I'm lookin for! Or at least I hope it works. they have the led bulb that illuminates in multiple directions.

I hope it's legit.

I have that in my turn signals, it works pretty well, not as bright reflection as the amber filament bulkbs but looks good.

that's what I'm worried about, because our housings are clear, they aren't as bright.

I've seen these civics and integras running around with really bright signal lights (and I think it's cuz of these bulbs) but their housing is a diffused amber color so that makes it more reflective.

I might give it a try, i'll think about it...

LEDs GENERALLY will not be brighter than your standard bulbs in the tails. I experimented with many different kind and didn't find anything I thought worth the time and money. Also changing ANY of your bulbs in the tail light will result in either A (turn signal going faster) or B (brake lamp indicator). To Solve this problem, a Load Resistor is needed. This results in more money spent and annoyance. I personally haven't seen any LEDs worth it in the tails. But I do think they work extremely well in the domes/courtesy lights.

i have em, and they look real nice..... they are bright, but do not illuminate the road or anything.. if thats what your lookin for.. i have 24 white LEDs in each turn signal, and they give off a white/purple light. i recommend them, but make sure you get a load resistor kit, or your turn signals will turn into hyperblinkers.... plues its an easy install. ill post pics later if u want

^^^ thanks but I'm probably not gonna swap them out. I really don't know how much longer I'm going to have my CL. It'll be paid off in 8 months

I know it's a cheap mod, but with what i've read so far, my silverstars are doing just fine. Thanx for the offer though.

I currently have those bulbs on my first gen CL ( ordered from www.superbrightleds.com ) night time visibility is great but don't expect any one to see them during the day specially if its very sunny out. They reflect well enuff but mainly in the late afternoon hours. I have the 1157's for my brake lights and for my rear turn signals.
