Fog lamp switch

Hey there,

I'm new here as i just bought an 01 CL-S and i love it. I read a lot of stuff on this sight before buying it, and even though i hear the tranny has issues, i got it anyway. Fortunately, the car was bought originally from the same dealership that i got it from and most of the service was done there as well so i have a copy of all the service records for it. It seemed pretty well taken care of.

But at any rate, I cannot seem to turn on the fog lights. Is there a switch that i can't find for them? I have looked all over but cannot seem to find a switch for them so i was wondering if they just came on with the normal lights and the bulbs might be burned out.

Anyone have any thoughts that can help me?

Yep, they come on with the lights. No switch. The bulbs are burnt out.

Congrats on the CLS.
Acura calls them roadlamps, it's only a 6 watt bulb.

Thanks for the info. That was absolutely killing me! I just couldn't figure it out. I'll replace those tonight. I saw another thread that said that they can be replaced with 18watt bulbs....is this recommended?

On another topic, I wanted to install a remote start which i have purchased (the bulldog 500 deluxe) and thier site says that it integrates with the stock alarm system but will only disarm it, it doesn't seem to show where the activation wire is on the harness so you just have to rely on it self activating. Do any of you guys know different and could help me find what i need to modify to enable the active arming?

Thanks a lot for the help

BTW, i'm in Irving TX, do we have any of you folks around here?
