Just ordered the Mugen Exhaust.
Ordered it through autocarparts.com I can't do a dyno right after, but I will do a dyno before I install the exhaust to get a baseline run.

Man, 1300 bux, I dunno if it's worth it, but I was thinking about the Mugen exhaust for a while, but dunno if I can drop that much for axel backs, with minimal perfomance gains.

For sure those exhasust are well worth it. When i was over in taiwan my cousins shop did an article for a chinese import car magazine and they compared the differnent exhaust and well the mugen loop styple axle back was one of them. Its well expensive but its the only exhast that give you horses with no loss but a gain in torque as well and also the sound suppression is great on those exhausts.
Hope that helps

Thats why I went with them. I liked how the comptehc exhaust sounded, but I did not like the tips, and I think it would get annoying if you were on the highway for a very long time. I talked to some people on the TL forum that have the mugen exhaust, and they were very satisfied with it. Check this link to see pics of the exhaust on a TL.

Wow! 1300 dollars for an exhaust. I know Mugen makes quality parts but is it really worth it. Is it a bolt-on or do you have to bend/weld? I hope they're worth it. Please post pics when installed.

make sure you add the Mugen stickers to your windows so you can get the extra added horsepower(last I heard it was Dyno-ed at 35HP to the wheels someone correct me if I am wrong)

yeah...those would be nice...but unfortunately, if you get forced induction...you just threw money away...in a way because a custom exhaust would be way better if you do get FI.

Not really. I can replace the cat back pipe, and connect it to the mugen.

I heard they didn't fit exactley right, because of the odd looped piping or something. Took a little fabricating on the side, but performed really well. I'm not sure what kind of a gain you'll get, but it will be more than Comptech.
I hope Mugen does make some Type S stuff now that the TL (Inspire) Type S is over in Japan.

I hope its not a lot of modification that needs to be done. We'll see I guess.

It used to say that. I guess they removed it after a couple of people verified it needed no modification on the TL.
