I just installed an AEM CAI yesterday and noticed that when my rpm's are low and i barley touch the gas i get like a high pitch whistling sound just for a couple of seconds. When i press on the gas and give it a little bit more it doesnt make that sound, same with the car in an idle position. Any comments well help me out.

I don't get a whistle... more like a... hiss.

 

i agree its more like a hiss..but for the people with intakes....if you guys keep the throttle at a certain rpm and at a certain speed it DOES whistle...anyone else knows what im talkin about..sorry didnt mean to jack your thread just thought i'd share shouldn't be nothin to worry about nxthole...

is everything hooked up correctly? mine hisses but not a high pitch whistle. i hear that on alot of hondas with intakes. it's from airleaks from the nipples not being connected on the intake.

 

well it hisses, and there is also thte slight humm that it makes, so maybe both mixed together sound like a whistle to him? I hardly even notice it anymore.

 

Whistling? Do you have the thermoblok spacers installed? After my installation, I get a whistling when I hit the gas during low RPSs just for a quick second or two. Thought I saw another post about this but couldn't find it in the search. Assumed it was the sharp hard edges of the spacers? Anybody else?

 

i am getting the same thing... happens right around 3K.... only starte after i installed the Thermoblocks.... and yes i made sure everything was tourqed correctly..
