I think hes referring to the difference between Mag and Hall sensors.

I will answer your question with another question.

Do you have an auto or manual?

Its the MAG sensor. I have the J30 wire harness w/ the J30 Auto tranny (2000 Accord) and the J32a2 engine. Im trying to get something to tune it and raise my rev limiter to 7200rpm. The J30 only has a rev limiter to 6200rpm. Not sure what the MAG sensor is, but I guess its not compatible w/ the AEM FIC. So I guess the ? would be does the j30 wire harness have a mag sensor or the j32a2 engine have a mag sensor? If so, what can I buy w/ my set up that I can tune & raise the rev limiter?

AEM's website is showing one compatible w/ the MAG sensor. I just need to know if I have MAG sensors so I know which one to get.

j32a2 from a 6-speed uses hall sensors, the other j32's use mag sensors. this is a quote from paul:

The FIC does not work well with the MAG sensor set of the older Js, if you are building a older J then use a EMB.
the only thing that can raise your redline is an ems series 2

Talked w/ AEM and looks like the only way Im gonna be able to raise my rev limiter is to go w/ the AEM EMS series 2 30-6051 ( Thanks rp_guy). The FIC's wont do it. With the EMS, wideband 02 sensor, dyno and tuning Its gonna cost about 2gs. Hope Its worth it, lol. Will post dyno results when I get them and then 1/4 mile times after that.

You can try Ronnies (J&R) piggy-back system, it may work for you.
