I bet. Seems like a lot of bondo/dremel/fitment issues. Either way thats impressive. Did you use the accord projectors? I know there is a swap that has the projectors, starts with a 'd' or something. Looks clean.

Hey guys I'm considering buying some used tien ss's instead of tociko blues.

Is $375 for a full used set a good price, and is 45k mileage too much?

i ran stock struts also it was like 2 weeks then they went out... u have to order new ones (front is a must) so i did, it was tokico HP great shocks but i would go with koni yellow which allows u to get 20mm lower but then its gonna be like 340$ for set of shocks only

Just an update on whats going on with my CL.

I went to the track for the first time today, and put down some not too spectacular times. Worst run was a 15.6, best was a 15.3. I can post tickets and details if anyone is interested.

I put in the used tein ss's I got off ebay a while ago. They were in amazing condition and looked hardly used at all. I think the guy that had them may have just got them back from tein after being refurbished. Regardless of their condition, they ride awesome and give me more peace of mind over running b&g springs with stock shocks.

In the process of removing and re-installing my struts so many times, I broke two wheel studs clean off. This probably happened because I over-torqued them. It cost me $225 to replace all 20 studs. That's three hours labor for removing and replacing the hubs.

Next on my to do list is to install camber kits on all 4 corners and get an alignment. With school starting again Tuesday for me I wont be able to work as much, and the car will move along even slower.

Its 3:33 AM, time for me to get some sleep! I'll post some pics of my car with the Teins on soon.

What were your 60ft times?

Are you still going to track next friday? Im planning on it. I have a feeling my times are going to be trash because of the tires. I may throw the 18s back on it before we go.

Best 60' was 2.265.

Bad news is I asked my dad what he thought about me racing today. He said if he ever caught me going he would sell my car. So we had about a 5 minute arguement. Basically while the car is in his name, which will be untill I graduate from college in 5 years, I don't race the car. I told him I was going to buy my own beater to take to the races and he said if I ever did that he would take me off insurance.

I don't really know if its a good idea for me to go again this Friday. I'd have to think up another lie for why I'd be gone all day. I'd also be risking not having a car. Friday is the last day of the season for the Muscle Street Wars I think so I really want to go.

And about the headers and intake, I doubt I'll be able to do that.

Ask your dad if he'd rather see you racing on the street or on a safe closed course.

if my parents had all those restrictions on how i fixed up or did with my car i wouldnt let them buy my car. i would just save and save and evenutally buy my own. my parents helped me buy my first car. they didnt like the loud exhaust etc but it was my car so they didnt trip about it.

Same here. The only thing my mom helped out with was co-signing the loan on my 4th car (the CL). My other 3 I have paid for.

Thought I'd update this thread since I forgot to post a few things in it way back when.

This was my car slammed on Tein ss's.

Not sure how many of you know yet but since those pics I've returned my car to stock, and sold all the parts. Time for me to move on from the CL, even though it served me well as a first car.

If all goes well, this will be in my garage by this Saturday
