I guess this is a good spot to ask this

My G tech pro SS is acting up it started jumping from 1 to 7k RPM so I thought it needed to be calibrated so I calibrated it and it still doing it , any suggestions

BTW Ive had for about a year and its worked fine I also bought it used for $50 as just something to play with so if its F'ed then I dont really care that much but I would like to play with it

 

you might be better off just going with one of those ipod apps. ive heard they are alot more accurate

 

LOL I dont have an I pod and I like the g tech for something to mess with while im drivin and I dont have to remove it

 

sorry and what does this g-tech do?

 

Measures 1/4 & 1/8 mile times, HP ,TQ, reaction time, G's and then you can hook it up to your computer and graph it and compare so you can see what new mods actually do

I believe motor trend uses it for there stats on cars or used to use it

 

lol that's how they get their FAST 1/4 mile times..

my cousin has that thing and it's HP/TQ readings are pure bogus..

What hp/TQ does ur's say?

and 1/4 mile and 1/8 mile times?? when ur wheels spin that's counting on the 1/4 mile.

I'm anal when it comes to accuracy.

just go get a dyno annually and go to the track... much more fun

 

Like I siad I just like to play with it, and your right its not that accurate but its not bad for comparison with modding , I dont remember what it said for mine but it was last summer that i used it and now its not working

 

cause I read up the fastest time A STOCK 01 CL-S ran was 14.8 apparently.... and if they got it with a thing like u have then it'd make complete sense that no one has gotten close to that to my knowledge on a stock auto.

14.8 is CRAZY fast for auto

 

i have dynolicious on my iphone it works pretty good. it says that i have 243whp which is a bit too high and 14.45 14.3 on 1/4 mile. thats about correct.

 

and how does that hook up to the car

 

14.95 twice with my tl-s auto with just a k&n filter and no intake resonator. its all about the driver (then i sprayed it hehe)

how did u launch the car???

hold the brake and gas???? at what RPM did u do it at?

 

gate shift. rev the car in 1 to 1800, vsa off and just floor it. at 6700-6800 (not 7200)rpm shift. thats where the max power is
