I'm going to get the oil changed by Valvoline instant oil change. I bought a Purolator PureOne filter PL14459. It seems well-built -but what brand of oil do people use?

 

Mobil One synthetic.

 

Right now I'm using Valvoline Full Synthetic. But I'm thinking of changing to Mobil 1 full synthetic.

After 5000 miles on the original break in oil - Mobil 1 5w-30 and Purolator PureOne PL 14459.

 

I use Mobil one and I heard something about the OEM filters have a special feature is you will, that keeps oil in the filter, where aftermarket don't. This is the feature that HONDA Filters have, so I use Factory filter and Mobil one Synthetic 5w30

most top end aftermarket filters such as, Purolator pure one and AC Delco Ultraguards all have backflow valves, even the cheap ones, heck most all of them have it these days...But I heard, Bosch and STP filters as well as Mobil 1 filters are the absolute best aftermarket filters...

yes, all of them have the important valve that honda OEM filters do. haven't tried the STP filters. the Mobil 1 and Purolator PureOne filters both look excellent.

 

I beleive that the best oil filter is the Honda filter in Japan, but you can't buy it here! Mobile 1 and mobile 1 filter, but will change to STP filter on next change.
