Installing the Aluminum Climate Control knobs

How the hell do you do it? I just bought the accent rings, radio & climate control knobs from fuzzy02cls, and I got the radio knobs on fine, as they just slide right in, but the climate control knobs are the tricky part. When you pull off the stock knobs, the shaft is shaped in a semi-circle, whereas the new knobs have a shaft shaped in a complete circle. So when I put them on the shaft, they just slide around and dont fit snug at all.....basically, they will fall off EXTREMELY easy. How the hell do you put these things on? Any help would be great

Use some felt cloth to plug the hole up to make it tighter.

Actually, I cut a toothpick the length of the shaft with the flat part and wrapped small pieces of paper towel around the tooth pick. I then lined it up and slid the knob on. Make sure the toothpick is on the flat part of the shaft.

Shaft = aluminum part that the knob slides on and off

Hope this helps.
