Injen intake?

well, i've had my cl since...well, since it came out, i also owned the previous 2.2, 2.3, and 3.0. Call me crazy. Well, im just wondering, is the Injen intake any good? i haven't heard much about it for the CL. It's finally modding time, and i am deciding between the injen if i can find info, and the AEM. Also, is the greddy e manage useful?

thanks

I just installed an Injen on my 01 and I like it a lot.. REALLY LOUD when it hit's 5k at WOT. But if you drive normal you'd never know it was on there. ... except for the vacuum sound at idle.. Go for the Injen, you'll like it.

I've had it on mine for about two years and still love WOT at 5k rpm. It's well worth the $

From what I understand, they are basically the same thing, but with different connection points at installation and different branding badges. I am by no-means and mechanical expert, but the piping for both intakes are the same diameter and they use virtually the same filter, so the difference, I'm sure, is negligable.
I have had the Injen for almost a year and its working great for me, I don't see how I could be any happier with the AEM.

Does anyone else have similar toughts on this issue, or am I off on this one?

Get the Injen, it does not dissapoint.

My AEM cracked, so I'm looking into Injen. Supposedly no one has had their Injen crack yet.

Is the AEM a metal pipe like the Injen? Hairline cracks, or did it split?

Injen Intake Is Sweet

It moans all the time sounds like nothing else I've heard. You can hear the thottle plate open and close sounds a bit like a blow off valve. But the real noise is at Vtec. It absolutely rips. No need for a fart can with this intake it sounds great by itself and performs well too. I got 3mpg and noticable power increase.

Has anyone heard anything about or looked into the AEM V2 intake? Supposed to be better then the regular AEM CAI.

As far as I know and have read on these boards. Performance wise there is no difference between the regular AEM CAI and the V2. They may sound different, but neither gives better gains. ((@least it hasn't been proven)).

But in any case, unless you have a CL-P, the v2 won't fit.

I have an AEM CAI on my cls and I absolutely LOVE the sound.

So what are the options for intake as far as 03 cl-s 6 speed is concerned? Icebox, aem cai, and injen? I was going to get Icebox, but now that i realized you have to cut your bumper, i dont think i want it.

You dont have to cut the bumper, nor remove it to install it. Do a search.

I installed my Icebox in my 6 speed in about 2 hrs and I took my time and did it right. The Icebox doesnt take anymore skill to install than the Injen or AEM.

then why is everyone saying you have to cut a piece off? Are all these people idiots? Check this thread, http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showthread.php?t=171052 he just installed it too, and says you have to cut a piece of the bumper off.

Someone wanna clear up this icebox / bumper cutting issue once and for all?

And I love the polished metal look of the Injen. > AEM painted.

Still love the crazy sound of the AEM though.
