Take a look at the harness and see if the amp turn on lead has been connected. My guess is it hasnt.

you should be able to get a harness depending on the unit your using...what kind of head unit are you installing? might be diy for it in the a/v section

The PAC OEM-2 is required for a new head unit installation.

Did you install it?

For some reason I hear sharp, brief static from my passenger door speaker at random times while turning, accelerating, and other randomness.....i'm trying to figure out what it could be...

Looks like taking intermediate steps like adding an aftermarket unit to the existing Bose system will require an interfacer like Alx suggested. Unless you are just interested in experimenting by adding a piece at a time, it might actually be more cost effective in $$ and time to wait until you have the appropriate amp, sound deadening, wiring etc. and install with your HU and components together. This systems approach will net you superior sound. I have heard some nice systems using stock HU, but I have never heard a nice sounding Honda/Acura system yet using stock speakers and amps. I have added a sub and amp to a stock Lexus system that turned out surprisingly good, but you have already traveled that route in your CL and have found it wanting. Adding the JVC HU to the stock system will not in itself improve the sound quality. Again, I had hoped that I emphasized this system approach strongly when we met because it is really the only way to SQ.

Try to By pass the Amp. Should be the only blue (light blue/oceanic blue) wire left if you use aftermarket harness. But becareful sound is going to be super high provided that your AM radio has a built in AMP.

Can't be done, you need to use the Pac OEM-2

I have a Clarion HU in my 03 CLs with stock speakers. Nothing special done. HU to harness pluged directly into cars factory harness. Have an after market Sub and amp powered by Bat and RCA. Sounds great. I would say the remote lead is not connected as CIVICDRIVR suggested.

You can if you know the cars wiring color code. I would not cut the cars factory plug off and hardwire the HU plug to the factory wiring.

I don't see why you could not do it with running new wire. Anyone else know for sure??
have you checked the remote turn on lead? If I am not mistaken there is two blue wires that will come from the HU one should be blue with a white stripe and one will be solid blue.(remote amp turn on and power antennae) Assuming you have used an AM harness, Try wiring them together and connecting it to the blue out of the AM harness or switching the two you have hooked up. Hard to know what you have already done..

I think you are incorrect. All you need is the amp turn-on lead which is the blue wire.
