Guys I am getting the worst mileage. I get about 310 km(190 miles) before the gas guage comes on. I put 94 octane in this thing..
What is going on?
I am thinking of getting a Xephyr CAI, how much will this help. I have about 4500km on mine (2800 miles)..

Exactly! I have been averaging around 300 miles per tank. When I get on it alot, and use the SS, etc... I get about the same as you, around 200 miles per tank.
Try driving like a grandma for just one tank of gas, you will see a BIG difference!

But that would be like giving a sprinter a pair of sandals to run on.. I can't do that
I shift a lot in SS, what area should I keep the revs under? 4k?

I just tanked up: 10.3 gallons over 273 miles - works out to 26.5 mpg. Not too bad, eh? Only got about 850miles on 'er.
I love chirping the tires in first.

Stop hitting the gas and brake so hard.
Learn how to drive properly and it will help you save some gas $$$$$ (gas is so expensive) btw..I can run more then 450KM for a full tank of gas when i was bone stock.
and it's a different story now after i got the intake

You expect to drive heavy foot all day long. Do 0-60 in 6.4 at every light yet you want to get good gas mileage. Sorry, that's not gonna happen.

Ever since I got the tires, I've been doing some crazy stuff around corners and the twisties that I wouldn't have done with the Michelin's. My suggestion is that whenever you don't really need to mash the pedal, try not to...don't use SS in traffic...keep it at around 3-4k RPM's...unless there's a Mustang or 328 at the stoplight
I had 240 miles a tank before, now I have about 150 miles so far on half a tank because I'm driving like a grandpa

I want slips, gas charge slips and odo shots with the tank being gassed in the foreground.
I was gonna ask what kind of mileage everyone was getting since I just did my first fill-up last week since getting the car. I got about 23 mpg in mixed (mostly city) driving after the first tank...not bad. When the engine is broken in after 600 miles or so and assuming relatively normal driving can I expect it to increase a bit? Or does the engine break-in have nothing to do with the mileage? Thanks!

The key to getting a best mileage is constant speed. If you have a stop and go traffic. You'll get the worst mileage on any car. That's why I avoid local street and when I drive on the freeway, I keep it 65 mph and just enjoy the ride of my cls.

I normally get 24 to 30 mpg..... That's a combo of city and highway.
I actually got higher mpg when lower grade gas was put in by accident. The engine retards the timing to prevent pinging, thus performance sux'ed but I got over 400 miles on that tank. YMMV....

I'm starting to think that some people just get bad mileage. There are lots of factors... driving style, traffic, etc. But I've NEVER gotten worse than 19mpg in this car no matter how much I floor it, redline it, etc. Having recently got an intake I've been pounding my car. I can still get 270 miles to a tank in city driving. I usually get about 300 miles to a tank. Have gotten as high as 430 miles on the highway.

I just got 357 miles on my last tank
And have average atleast 300 on every tank since i bought the car. I was pretty excited. I jumped on it one day and the rest was highway driving at like 80mph. I have about 1200 miles on the car. Using SS will degrade performance. If you are using SS you need to keep the rev's under or around 2k!!!! 4k! shit that's is waaaaay too much for regular driving. For local roads keeping the tach under 2k and it will help gas mileage.....you can get on the engine on the highway without having the MPG suffer. You dudes up in the Canada prolly don't drive in the highway that much.
