How long do HID headlights last before you need to replace them?
The reason I am asking is because I replaced mine once all-ready and now my passenger light is starting to go. IT flickers and turns on sometimes, sometimes it does not turn on but if i play with the lights(shuting them off and then turning them on) the light will work.
Is it my bulb going or is the alternator that powers the light starting to go?
Thanks for the INFO!

I don't get it but for a reference, my old '00 TL with 252,000 miles on it still has the factory lights, they have never burned out. Still bright white with that slight purplish tint.

7+ years on mine with 76K miles....should last the life of the car but if you are replacing them more than once, you got a problem and need to check the ballast

My ballast went out, the bulbs are still good. I'm replacing them with 8500k bulbs though.

I have 119k, replaced one a few years ago. The dealer said the ballast went bad, but the other one is still working.

It seem like when i hit a bump on the road the lights will flicker and shut off.
These are my 2nd set of lights and ballast's so do you guys think it is a bad connection, bad ballast or bad bulb?

I got an 01 with 86k and i think these are the OG bulbs

But I try to conserve my headlights, I rarely turn them on at night when I drive. I just use a flashlight or put on my nightvision goggles

it sounds like u only replaced one when u did your bulb..your "supposed" to change both bulbs when a bulb goes out. it sounds like you changed just your driver side not the passenger

My right side ballast went out at 78k and I had it replaced and while at it, put in a new bulb. Just a couple of weeks ago the left side ballast went out at 88k. Someone had posted an Acura Service bulletin link dated October 2008 about ballast problems and that helped save me about $225. Anyhow, seems like it must be a broader problem if they put out this bulletin. Hopefully, they'll last a lot longer than the first ones.....
