How do I get my car on jack stands?

Is there a better way to get the rear up on stands other than to jack it up using the rear tow hook jackpoint? If I can use the subframe to jack it up... which point to use?

I tried the tow hook and it started to dent in.

So now, the only option that I have come up with was to jack the car from the scissor jack points. Only use half the head of the floor to leave enough room for a jack stand. Anyone can do it cause I use a big ass 3-ton floor jack and 3-ton jack stands

I've always used the rear tow hook and have never had problems.

smokendsm did you use the actual tow hook or the spot immediately behind it? The spot right behind the tow hook looks like it would be the spot to jack it up on (which is what I did when installing my sway bars years ago and bent my trunk bottom a bit, which ended up been good by keeping my sub from moving around the trunk!) but it's not the correct spot.

I used the actuall tow hook. I didn't even get the wheels off the ground if I remember correctly. I remember I saw it start to dent in...barely...so I just stopped jacking it fromt there and did one side at a time

Ive been usin the tow hook and its held up fine but I used a block of wood on top of my jack to get the extra lift thats necessary to put the stands under rear jack points... and my front bumper is almost on the ground.

We had been putting in my rear sways when it happened. On the drive home I heard this rattling noise in the trunk. At first I thought it was the sways. But when I looked in the trunk I noticed that the spare tire wasn't sitting in the trunk corretly because the trunk had been dented in a little bit! It was great for the sub though, it didn't move much. Now that the trunk bottom has been hammered to the correct level, my sub moves around a lot!
