Helped my friend buy a car (kinda o/t)

To make a long story short, last night I helped my friend buy a 97 eclipse gs-t spyder. The lot where we bought the car had a 2000 boxter s sitting there and I told the sales guy we wouldn't buy the car unless he let me test drive the boxter. He agreed and we bought the eclipse. Im going to go drive it on monday as we were at the dealership too late to do it last night. I can't wait till monday!!!

------------------
Please have a crane drop on my car so I have to buy a new CL-S. But wait till I'm not in the car. Thanks

Haha...nice man...were there any NSX's or 911's around? Look around the whole lot and ask if you can test drive all the nice cars

hey why is it when i see a porche boxter drive by its sounds like its 10 years old. It just sounds like the muffler is dying. Hell i even like the riced out civic sound better than that. Is it cuz its just the base Boxster?

I agree. Sounds very...artificial [more electronic than mechanical]. I don't know what sounds worse -- a V6 Mustang or the Boxster.

The Boxster exhaust may sound like crap, but the purrin' of the engine ... classic Porsche.

*sighs*

I wish I had one ...

Your friend will enjoy the eclipse. If he wants another one, I have a 98 for sale. :-)

I agree about the boxster. I drove my friends the other day and really didn't like the exhaust note or the ride.

A boxter is NOT a porsche in ANY sense!

Sorta like when people say a Vette is JUST a Chevy! Its not! A Vette is MUCH better than a chevy.
