Help finding OEM Yamada Oil Pump for CLS 6MT

I've called five different dealerships and have made four orders online, but they've all been refunded. Does anyone have an OEM new old stock oil pump 15100-PGE-A12 or does anyone have any experience with an aftermarket brand such as Melling? My car has the infamous oil pump leak at the o ring, since it's at 168k miles and the car is in very good shape, I wanted to replace it and try to get to 300k+ over the next 10 years, granted I don't get rear ended. 🤣

I just 'chatted' with acurapartswarehouse.com and they stated that 15100-PGE-A12 has been discontinued.
Looks like it is aftermarket from now on.

I've made an order with them, acurapartsclub, acuraoempartsdirect, and acurapartswarehouse. All of them were canceled...

Why not just replace the appropriate 'o-rings' and keep the original oil pump assembly?

I was recommended to replace it, I am having oil pressure issues at start up, could just be from the oil leak, but I want to replace it anyways.

If you prefer an OEM oil pump assembly, here is an 'outside the box' suggestion.

If you can find a new oil pump assembly from a J35A3 (15100-P8E-A01), which is in the 01-02 MDX , you could use that one in place of the discontinued J32A2 CL-S six speed oil pump assembly (15100-PGE-A12). It's the same oil pump; however, you will lose the upper bolt hole 'boss' that holds the CL-S6's timing belt stopper plate. Refer to the pictures below:

^J32A2 CL-S six speed oil pump assembly. You can clearly see the upper bolt hole 'boss' in this picture next to the number '1'
on the oil pump assembly. The timing belt stopper plate is being held in the hand. This part is unique to the six speed; however, people, @teh CL who have swapped the J35A3 into the CL-S have used the J35A3 oil pump assembly and TB stopper plate being held with only one bolt.

Holy $&#@ dude, you're a life saver, if that's the only difference, then I think I can manage, thanks so much for that info, I'm still going to try to get the A12 pump, but if not I'll get the A01.

In your research, if you absolutely can't find an A12 and end up having to go with an A01, make sure to come back here and update your thread.
This kind of 'discontinued' part problem is bound to continue as these cars get older and older.

On the other hand, just an FYI. If you ever have problems or a failure with the transmission side crankshaft sensor (37506-PGE-A12), on your CL-S6, you will find that part discontinued as well. Check out the thread below for alternatives in the future:

Over the next year I'll make quite a write up of various modifications I plan on doing, if the car survives south florida drivers that is. I plan on doing a write up on the 3.7 SHAWD manifold if I'm not too lazy to take it back apart and possibly do the MDX spacer and see if it fits under the hood. Before I do anymore power mods I need to replace my RMS and put a stage 2 clutch in it. Next is exhaust manifolds. After that an AEM V2 ECU, make a write up on tuning for the intake and exhaust as well as setting up 2 step. Then a 50 shot of nitrous. Hoping to get 320whp

If you are interested, keep an eye on the black market section of the forum here, I will be listing up some stuff like LW stock diameter crank & p/s pulley's; CT titanium strut bar; a complete CT auto trans S/C'er kit and possibly a pair of CT mufflers and sway bars. I should know about the mufflers tomorrow.

In addition, I was thinking that if you have to go with the A01 oil pump assembly, it may be prudent to use a little red Loctite on that one bolt at the crank sensor to help hold the TB stopper plate in place.

In regards to an AEM 30-6051 standalone, boomslang makes a plug n play harness for the CL-S6. Check out the thread below:

Exactly. I'm doing it this weekend on mine. I think I cost me less than 50$ for all the seals.

It's from the seals... These are mechanical pumps so it very unlikely the pump and very likely the seals.

@zeta I ended up getting the MDX oil pump installed (15100-P8E-A01). I've been driving the past few weeks with no issues to report. Now I'm looking into some headers and removing the catalytic converter to install a wotbox, I just need to trick the ECU for the downstream O2.

@Jordan Tadelman thanks for the update to your thread. Glad to hear the A01 oil pump worked out for you. If you have not already heard, contact P2R, they offer 'big tube' headers that they claim fit the CL-S6. I believe, though, you'll need the rear engine mount bracket ( 50827-S0K-A81) of an automatic to fit them on the rear head. If you get the wotbox to work, be sure to post up how you did it with pics or video, I'm interested in seeing your results.
