Headlight Replaced

Just got my headlight replaced because of condensation, now the other one looks hazy compared to the new one. What can I do to improve (has rock chips, scratches etc.) LMK thanks in advance for the help.

can use a plastic polisher and buffer. If that doesnt work use 2000 grit sand paper before the polisher. There is a thread on how to do it on here. Just search for it.

^ yes, but instead of 2000, use 1200 wet. it cuts more. i used it on one of my headlights and it looks good as new.

I don't know how bad the haze we're talking about is since I can't see it (or a pic) but, there is another way. I used some Meguiar's Plastix along with an applicator and some serious elbow grease. They clear right up.

should i just go for the meguiars platix first? and if that doesnt work try the sanding deal? I dont wanna mess them up, but at the same time i want them to look the same.

it depends how deep/bad the scratches are on the HL. if they're too deep for the platix to take out, your gonna need to wet sand it down until there are no more surface scratches and then plastic polish it again. GL

ok so i got the pastix

I just applied maybe 5 coats of the meguiars plastix and did notcie some difference in appearance, but over all the new headlight still looks a lot clearer, if i use the wet sand method....

#1) what are my chances on permanantley screwing up my headlight

#2) can i still use the plastix after wet sand, or should I get the 3m plastic stuff?

thanks

If you ask me, forget the plastix...used it...looks better now i'm sure. But since u did replace one of two headlights what are u expecting a miracle. the Old headlight to mirror the new headlight u replaced...won't happen. Just replace the other headlight so they are both new. Then buy the clear headlight stuff to place on your lights so rocks don't scratch them. I think ROCKBLOCKEr or someone in the blackmarket sells that stuff.
