I posted this a few months ago and now is the time. My friend finished his shop and is gonna start making them. i'm gonna be a guina pig and get my car dynoed then have them make headers, then get the car dynoed again to see the results. i'm gonna drop off the car in about a week or so. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Oh hey good point. Yeah, I'd probably chicken out when it came time to buy them, but by then I'll know for sure if I have a job or not with the military, and if I do, spending a few hundred for 30hp gain would seem more easy to do.

$800 would be the most I'd spend, but then again I'm not all that enthusiastic about modding the CLS anymore. Why do you expect EVERYONE to be willing to pay a thousand dollars to have aftermarket headers on their car? You're the one that's funny with your silly attitude.

 

a few hundred is 3-$400 in my book. $800 is twice that much.

While you and others wait for $800 Headers that NEVER seem to materialize, i've been driving with Comptechs for a year and a half that cost a grand, and have been worth every penny. So don't tell me to chill, you keep waiting and i'll keep driving.

 

Dude, i personaly posted the first part about the headers about 2 months ago, so i don't think 3-4 for months for a product is such a long time. Perfection takes time. get your facts straight. I trust my friend and his work. If anyone doesn't want the headers, don't buy them. I'm not forcing you guys.if u want, buy the comptech's. i just think 1200 is a lot to spend on headers. don't get me wrong, 1200 buck for 25-30 Hp is pretty good, but i'm not gonna spend 1200 buck on them. I'm gonna do eveything in my power to push my friend along so i can get them made. I don't have an exact date and don't have an exact price, but if it's not worth it, i'll tell u guys. and red rider, i'll see you on the Track!

 

Just youthful exuberance I assume for a new product that may be produced. However I find it is good to wait until the product exists in it's prototype form and tested before talking hype. And or waiting until it's in production has started. Saves a lot of hard feelins/bs. Lots of things can happen in between a prototype product and full production. And then even sometimes problems in the production process.

Good to be informed. But sometimes better to wait...
