Headers heat shield

I Have 01 CL-S and put XS Power Headers on it and was wondering if the stock header heat shields would fit over the XS ones, I wanted to do this to hide the headers from Cops/emissions. Is there a way to modify the heatshields to fit?

No the stock header has holes that the heat shield is drilled into. Which aren't available on any aftermarket headers.

yup, don't waste your time.

you must live in a state with strict emissions.

DC's aren't C.A.R.B. Legal or is it pending? I have a set on my integra that are C.A.R.B. Legal.

I think their pending still. I was going to get them but they are almost four hundred and I'm not sure if pending is good enough to pass smog.

I don't know about the brand you have, but when the comptech headers change their colors, you'd have to know what your looking for to notice the difference between them and the stock headers without the heat shield. Keep in mind I've never had to go through an emissions check though (FL).

Not sure if its possible, but can't you weld a comptech carb exemption badge to the headers?

The XS headers are deffinately noticeable if you know what you're looking at. Though it does help that the XS label is acutal on the underside of the car, so if you didn't know it came stock like that, it'd be difficult for someone to tell.
