I've never heard of Speed Daddy. For only $100 I have a feeling they'll never fit perfectly though.

Got SS obx's,been on for 2 months.
bolted up fine
reused stock exhaust manifold gaskets.
used that gasket maker stuff for the header to cat gasket.
no leaks still look good.
And give you added power.
got mine for $265 shipped with some bargining.
It's possibly the best option.
price vs design.
cheapest one flex pipe header and I have nothing bad to say yet.

two flex pipes suck
u should only need one. if u have another one, thats a cheap fix bc it doesnt fit right
the fist flex pipe tends the blow out really fast, but then again any cheap flex pipe will. like the ones that they use on cheap headers like this
and im about 100% sure ur gonna have exhaust resonance bc they use thin metal for the headers and down pipe.

time will tell and ppl have had complaints with the dual flex pipe headers. just wait and see.

and if im gonna be putting on headers and dealing with rusted bolt and tight space. im gonna do it once and do it right.

cheapest i found on ebay WITHOUT that useless mini plex pipe. There shouldnt be a flex pipe in there at all. It should all be straight pipe. What MIT grad thought it would be a good idea to put that retarded mini flex pipe in there anyway????

its obvious that they're copying compechs design right? how hard is it to make a simple bend??

I personally bought the SS autochrome ones when i had the chance. $130 shipped was great. Had them on for almost 2 years with no problems. I used fel-pro manifold gaskets to make up for any inconsistancies at the flanges.....no leaks. I also used fel-pro "donut" gaskets for the J-pipe and converter flange. Havent had any problems whatsoever. Maybe i got lucky.

One other thing i noticed, none of the cheap-o's have the bend for the 6 speed guys. if anyone that has a six speed and wants headers, dont buys these....they wont fit.

You really should have a flex pipe there. Just replace it with a higher quality unit.

the front flex pipe (the smaller one as he says) is not necessary if they weld it while it's on the car, imo. the front and rear headers shouldn't be moving independently of each other while bolted to the engine.

the rear one needs to be on because it attaches to the rest of the exhaust.

Just for clarification:

Flex pipes are not *designed* to correct fitment issues, they are very prone to premature failure if mounted with force on them. Flex pipes are intended to be used to isolate the engine from the exhaust to reduce vibration and noise. There will not be more than a 1-2mm variation in bracket position on any OEM exhaust/header, and this variation will be taken up by the mounting brackets. There is also a tolerance for the full system (from header to exhaust tip), that is taken into consideration.

when does it vibrate? on throttle, idle, etc?

could be that it just needs to be rewelded, but done better..

I just reread what he said and he mentioned the mini flex pipe. I thought he was talking about the main flex pipe, which is recommended.
