Header Wrap Experience Only Please

Has anyone had any experience with wrapping XS Power headers? I know some people say that they will crack because they become brittle after high heat cycling. But this is just an opinion unless anyone has had any first hand experience? Please chime in if you have. On a side note I am going to wrap the flex pipe no matter what to keep resonance down.

ive had my XS heads wrapped and sprayed for 2 years now, no cracks or problems. however, i had to re-wrap the flex pipe about 8 months ago because the original i put on had become loose.

Same thing for me with the flex pipe. I've had my xs headers on 3 years now trouble free. Well except for the wrap.
I only wrapped the flex pipe. It cut the noise (wonks, resonance) down almost entirely.

First time it came loose because I wrapped it tight and then clamped the end.
That lasted about a year until the wrap came loose from the front. Then I wrapped it again and clamped both ends. That lasted a year or so until my car was lowered and I must have scrapped it because its loose again.

But I'm still working with the same roll of header wrap that I started with.
Dunno if this really answers your question but be sure to use lots of clamps when dealing with that flex pipe. It's cheap and lets lots of air through. So it puts that pressure on the wrap and inevitably it gets loose.

Yeah I already read threw that, but like I said it was all opinions no one had actually had experience with wrapping their headers. Anyway I just decided to paint them with VHT Flameproof coating and I wrapped the flex pipe. I know the VHT stuff doesn't reduce heat but they will look better at least.

Wrapped mine from the engine to the cat. No issues other than the needing to re wrap the lower section after 2 New England winters.
