Funky fun messing around with some GTR's at a GTR meet
Like the title says I went to a track meet with a friend who owns a GTR and after driving his and and driving my CL on the same track it really makes me want to buy one.
Another thing I noticed, with me running the NSX Calipers up front it can somewhat make the car handle harder when on the brakes but the problem I am running into is that they are like twice as better than my rear brakes and I am wondering if I can use a proportioning valve or if anyone makes one, dont get me wrong I love the brakes, but the front bias is seriously rediculous.
I went into a hairpin turn trailbraking and literally had to counter steer due to having too much braking up front its like I have a 90 front 10 rear setting on my brakes. but when I finally got used to it I was able to drop 3 seconds off of a lap time because of it.
I know this seems like alot of text but bear with me. I had my friend ride with me as well as a veteran who races on the track regularly and he said he has never seen such front bias, but he says it is helpful because the CL is no lightweight as it is.
I did manage to outhandle a BMW 328ci that was out there he was kind of peeved at me because I would always take his inside line. I did this running full interior stock suspension and a 30lb sub box in the car, I wish I had my friends Go camera but he was out of town.
But I wonder if there is a proportioning valve that we can use to change the bias.

There are no other direct replacement prop valves I am aware of.
Get more aggressive pads for the rear.

I kinda figured you would say that, I was running on some carbon techs, I think I am going to run less agressive up front, but you should have seen the look on this guys face when I literally almost brake drifted...he was gigling like a little girl that just got a cellphone.

Isnt that normal. From what i have heard most cars are around the 80% or more braking is done by the front with 20% or less done by the rear. It might seem more noticable in a cl since our front weight bias is huge.

Yes and no. Every car is front biased for brakes. They do that for stability. But when you add larger front brakes (even stronger calipers) without doing anything to the rear, its even more biased to the front.

yea but a legend caliper upgrade is as small of an upgrade for brakes as u can go caliper wise. Most ppl go from stock to bbk in front and do nothing in rear. The legend swap is much smaller step than that.

True, he couldve been heavy on the brakes and engaging ABS.

Hearing that the NSX brake upgrade is too much for a 2g has me concerned. Aren't the rotors already 11" stock? I'm upgrading from 10" to 11" with NSX calipers and plans of tracking the car later this year.
I've seen a 5th gen Accord use both front and rear NSX calipers and they had issues with the rear having too much braking power. He said it caused the car to be unstable. I can't think of any other rear brake upgrades that would be in between the CL and NSX.
