Having more car troubles, Please help...

Not MY CLS but,
My sister's 2003 Pontiac Grand AM GT. Bought in August, car now with 20k miles on it. Brakes sounding as if wear bars are coming down. It's currently at local dealer for various things (Brakes included). I made the appointment, she took the car in (I am the Co-Owner). Service told her: Charge for looking, charge for fixing . I understand that brakes are a "normal wear" item, BUT, we paid for an extended service contract. I honestly do not think that we should be having this problem with only 20k on the clock. Now, I am looking for opinions on what to do.
SIDE NOTE: I am not a fan of this American made SHIT, just got a good deal because Dad is an Engineer for GM (currently working on Hummer H3 project in Detroit). I am trying to save myself from completely blowing up and smashing windows.
Should I:
1-- Call the salesman, and explain the situation and have HIM work it out with service.
2-- Call service
3-- Flip out and holler and cuss, and tell them that if they don't fix this problem they can keep it.
4-- Tell them to shove it, and that I'll take it to somewhere that does free inspections.

I really want to stay cool about this, but I have not had any good experiences with GM cars, and this could potentially send me over the top.

Charge her for looking? WTF! I've never heard of such a thing. Dealers suck! I would find another dealer. It doesn't take much to inspect the brakes. Put it on the rack, take the tires off, inspect the brakes ... sometimes, you have to pull the calipers off but that's just a couple of hex bolts. Make them fix the warranty things and take it to someone else for the brakes. If you have a good contact (like the salesman), use it. The salesman will most likely not want to get envolved ... but you never know. Good luck.

Brake should not go bad in 20k miles!... You would expect some 30 kmiles at least.. I have 31 kmiles on the front and 51k miles on the rear!!! the rear are still factory installed.

Nashua.
