Has anybody worked with http://www.carsponsorships.com/?
I had filled out a form at http://www.carsponsorships.com/ to get my CLS6 sponsored my friend told me about it. When i got to the credit card part i bailed. But oddly enough, or creepily enough i got a call today from a rep from that site. She said that they were interested and there are already 30 manufactures ready to give me free parts now. She said anything from engine, to wheels, to paint, to gauges, interior, lighting, exhaust, ect...she said all i would need is that 1 time $99 sponsor fee. and i would have to agree to promote at some shows.
My question is, this sounds all too good to be true, is it true? Has anybody gotten free parts by getting your car sponsored? i know it happens sometimes. Is this how it does happen?
I'm worried about scams, and everything. But honestly if all i have to pay is $99 and i can get a turbo, exhaust, cams, stickier wheels, new paint, and all that jazz for free...then i think it would be an excellent idea.
Any thoughts fellow CL connoisseurs?
Thanks
-Tim

before u even give them ur $ they track you down to ask for it up front? sounds desperate
money up front is always kinda fishy... why they need such a nice number 99$...
JUST 99$
maybe 107.14$ but 99... seems weird
but hey,, it's only 99 bux right. what's the worst that could happen

i did it, but never used the sponsorships. u get discounts on parts from their sponsors. and u only get a full sponsorship after the companys approves of ur car. just have to rep their decal and go to shows.

What a joke! You would be hard pressed to find 30 manufactures that make anything for a 8 year old CLS. Yeah, I bet they are just going to fall all over themselves trying to put their parts on a old ass car.
I would not fall for that, and I hope you don't either!

they probably sponsor u with brands that don't makes parts for our car in particular. since it isn't a common car to begin with. a smart scam i guess, since it technically is legal, it's just lack of information that attributes to the fact it's useless most likely

Whats up with RDX owners?

Whatever happened to contacting sales departments of parts companies and asking about sponsorship info?
