Group buy rotors are warped!!!
Aight I'll see what he says...then I'll probably just get a set of pads again...which ones did u guys buy from the group buy. I don't want any squeek noises and would like a pretty long life. Brake dust doesn't really bother me.
Fuckin yes!!!!!!!I called woody like 20 times today and he never picked up. I was getting heated fast!!! But then i tried one last time, and he picked up. I told him the situation, he sounded like he had an attitude at first but then said...try them for another week and if theres still a pulsation that he'll take care of it for me. YEAH MUTHAPHUCA!!!!!!! I also reminded him about him telling me to use the stock pads...i told him if it doesn't go away then when u send new rotors that I'm gonna buy some metal masters.
NO...if you have this problem then you might have the rotor on the wrong way...take it off and turn it about 45 degrees...if they still don't line up then you might have received the wrong rotors...maybe you got the rotors from a second gen CL
yea i figured out why... the rotors woody sent me are from a predlude, but he never told me that when I ordered. He said it works for my car.
Well, while the dimensions of the rotor are the same as the prelude/accord/cl the screw sets are for the lude. My mechanic argued with him on the phone for a while, to no avail, woody was giving him an attitude. my mechanic has a brembo calibrator (or whatever you call it) and all... but whenever he did a road-test, the steering wheel would wobble so violently that the car was undriveable. (i dont blame my mechanic for faulty work... he works on brake systems that cost more than my whole car! hes an alfa romero/frearri/lambo/etc mechanic & owner. he had been in the 'luxury import performance modding' business a while. ive been going to him for years with no problems)
Woody told me that brembos on my car will never match up, and it wasnt that i got bad ones.
after i spent half the day on the phone with other dealers who use the same machining plant as woody confirm that there IS a set that fits perfectly on my car, and after calling brembo to have them confirm the same thing (for their oem blanks) i gave woody a call back again. FINALLY, I got him to agree on shipping me new rotors that fit my car exactly.
it just pissed me off that i had to have my mechanic argue with him... getting so frustrated he hung up on woody, had to call brembo and and 3 other places, and had to call woody about 6 times before i had all this straightened out.
i was shipped ones that are '45251-ss0-000'.. searching on google and you can easily see those are for the lude. brembo agreed with me on that too. im FINALLY getting '45251-s84-a01' which are for my car. i learned more about brake systems in one day than i ever cared to know :P
anyone else had to deal with all this crap?
