grille help..?

grille help..?

hey guys, i want to make a new mesh grille, ive read forums on how to make it, but i cannot find the material to make it, ive heard to use gutter guard from like home depot but that stuff looks flimsy, please help a newbee out...
i want a grille like this but dont want to deal out the $dough$.. for the RJ

what type of material tho? alum., steel? and the percentage of open area range is 50-59 is that the one right one?.... thickness, center-to-center spacing, hole diameter?
and i want it to be blk....so will i have to paint it myself?

omg theres so many choices ....i dont mean to be a nag about it , but i just want the correct one ... thanks rondog

The correct one is the one that looks the best to you. Just don't get too fine a mesh and cut off air to the radiator.

Hit a good hardware store or a Homley Depot and look around until you find something you like. The stuff is cheeep so you can experiment a bit.

It's a bit expensive from there.. But I went with Stainless Steel..

I here RJ still does the grills if u buy the stock grill from acura...and mail it to him...Is this still true? I'm in the military and don't have any tools or time to make one!

Go to Home Depot or Lowes (or whatever home/hardware store you have over there) and see what they have.

That's what I'd do if I was going to go with a custom grill... Must be at least a couple 01's in the junkyards by now...

um, I didn't make any permanent changes to my grill when I made it. So, even if you do this, it's extremely easy to revert back to stock.
