Anyone plan on hitting the track this year? I have only had the car 4 months but I think im gonna hit streetnight up a few times and even run her at importwars. The track just opened up this weekend and im gonna try and make it up this wednesday or/and friday. Anyone else plan on doing this? Or better yet anyone from the mass/newhampshire area? I really wanna see what she has and just do it for fun really. Maybe ill do a pre header and post header day and see what we get as far as gains from the headers.


P.S. ill be running on the stockies the 19's are too damn big.

 

yeah i'm going to hit the track... but my area has converted our track to a 1/4 yet... we still just have an 1/8... sucks!! they are converting it to a 1/4 this year so i hope i get to run some times.. i ran 9.6-9.8 all night the other night in the 1/8... that was with cai, headers, on 18's and with my system still in the trunk... next time i go i wil have cai, headers, exhaust, and UR racing pulley set..

 

i'm gonna try to head to the track this summer plus i'm gonna try to go to the dyno soon to see what my numbers are (probably do pre-pulleys, then after the pulleys), might do the same with unichip as well (if no one buys it). That way i can see what gains they will get me.

 

I truelly will once I get my car back on the road.

 

Plan to hit the tracks hard this summer.

i'll be down the track once or twice this year. hoping to get somthing lower than a 14.8. maybe even get the mph up past 98.1 too.

i'll be going up. i only live about 90 miles away. it is a very nice track.

 

I *might* go once or twice. My mustang is down for some needed bodywork/SC install, so I'm gonna start getting ancy soon.

It would be nice to hit 13's NA, no headers. Just sort of a bragging right.

 

I hear ya. Now that I have my 235/45/ZR17's on, I kinda wish I wasn't selling it so I could hit the track again. I only ran 14.3 @ 97 with the stock tires.

 

My car will be broken in this May at MSR Houston.

I drove a MarkIV GTI VR6 in November on it......only because I didn't have the cajones to put my CL on it...and now, regret that bigtime. So, I am going to make up for it next month.

 

I was going to join SCCA this summer, but my car isn't up and running yet. My plans have been backed up quite a bit since my car has been down for so long. I did plan on taking it to California Speedway just to see what it'd do in the 1/4 mile. All that will have to wait.

 

I will definitely try to hit up the dragstrip this year as I have one pretty close by. There is also a 2.1 mile road course track close by. (Nelson Ledges Raceway). I stopped in there the other day to get information. I guess it's like $120 to race all day and they have instructors and all that too. I think it would be fun to race around a track with other people all day.

Looks like fun!


I'm told some cars get up to 170 MPH on the back straight so it seems like it would be a challenging course too

I can't wait to go back to the track again. Next time, I'm not letting that damn Jew drive my shit. He didn't know how to handle the raw powah of teh CL-S. ( he drives a Volvo S60R...)
