Got the valves adjusted...

I ended up taking the car to the dealer for the valve adjustment - I have the feeler guages etc. at home but was just lazy I guess.

Anyways... exhaust valves were loose by a smidgen and the intake valves were a little on the tight side. Got the car back... drives fine; don't know if it feels more powerful, but feels good

I had an '05 TSX loaner (with Nav)... beautiful car and interior, but slow as hell!

The tech took my car for a test-drive and wondered how on earth I can drive her given the power

my 54 year old tech took my car for a dirve after telling all the detail boys that they are not allowed to take the car for a drive and he said the same thing.

Can I ask how much it ran you to get the valves adjusted?

Unfortunateley I can't say where/how much. Generally its about $450 for the valve adjustment. It includes new valve cover gaskets, new manifold gaskets, spark-plug seals etc.

Considering your modded car I bet you would have said the same thing if they gave you an NSX.

Hmm... nope - warranty generally doesn't cover valve adjustments (std or extended)

I probably shouldn't have even posted this. I went in for some other warranty work and it happened that my valves got adjusted as well - dunno why really

Generally if its wayyy... off, its audible. Most of the time it is preventative because the cam-lobe and rocker gets worn down with mileage and the clearance changes.
