I was having pretty bad vibrations when i braked over 50 mph, sometimes it would be bad and sometimes it didnt vibrate. I think it does not vibrate when the rotors have cooled down. Anyways I go to the valley stream acura 8 o clock in the morning. I talk to the service manager, Norm, and he took a test drive on my car. He said that he couldnt feel any vibration and he was going about 50 mph. So i said, I mean when im driving, I definitely feel the steering wheel shake sometimes it's there and sometimes it's not. He said that he would resurface the rotors and change to the new updated brake pads. I asked for him to replace the rotors, but he said he couldnt for the first time. So i said ok thats fine. I guess that the service manager did not want to waste time resurfacing the rotors and he felt bad for the fact that i was waiting there for 4 hours. So he just decided to change the rotors and the pads. How AWESOME!!! Valley stream also washed my car too. Everything was covered under warranty. Everyone who lives on long island, I recommend going to Valley Stream ACURA. Whatever you do, do not go to RALLYE OR PARAGON ACURA. RALLYE will never negotiate - just because they are located in a rich area, they will never negotiate with you. ALso paragon ACURA, forget about it, they barely negotiate and an oil change takes 2 hours there.

I got my '03 CL-S at Rallye and they were the only ones where I felt I could do a little talking about the deal and they actually were very fair - no BS - compared to the Acura Dealer in Wantagh LI, big time players and I was lied to on three occassions there. I have been to Rallye for the headlight condensation replacement and also the notorious moonroof rattle, oil & filter etc... and they were great. No problems.

I have the rotor problem too, I have an apointment on June 1st at ryans acura in NJ, they suck and are usally rude, they said they will reserface the roters but not sure if it will be under warentee, i have 13,600 miles on my 03 CLs Does anyone have the TSB on the new brake pads? Id like to put a request into the dealer about that, cause i know they wont put the new ones on themselves.

Would it be cheaper just to buy new rotors and pads than to have the dealer resurface them? Consider the rate for labor is very high.

I live in Manhasset Hills, basically same town as New Hyde Park. I was wondering if you had any mods on ur car, cuz i definitely want to put some mods in my car like comptech icecbox & headers, afraid of warranty issues any info would be appreciated. Anyways I had 7000 miles on my 6 speed cl , and i did not buy the car from valley stream acura, and they still gave me new rotors and pads. I suggest that when you do go down to the dealer, do all your research about the problem. Make sure that you know more about the brake issue than the service mgmr or the technician. Also make sure that you keep a good eye on your car. Whenever the car goes, try to follow and watch the technician do the repair. All you have to mention is about the new service bulletin that came out. After i said to the service manager to check the bulletin, he did and gave a copy to the technician repairing my car.

funny you mention that because last time they washed the car at Rallye they pushed the black rubber seal at the base of drivers window in and got water all inside the door/ speaker area.
