It's All About 60' times...

Okay, stopped at the track yesterday since I was in the area for a few quick runs. It was far from ideal track conditions. 92 degrees with 70% humidity.

I only made 2 runs because I had other stuff to do.

First run I just barried the throttle out of the hole and spun all through 1st and half of 2nd.

Second run I eased in the throttle like I usually do and got a decent time.

The runs were about 10 mins apart and under idential conditions. Shifting at idential RPMs.

Look at what a difference it makes:

14.6 is real slow for me. Since I got headers I average in the 14.3 range With a few 14.2's under my belt.

Wow, I was suprised at the range. I expected a half second but gaining nearly a second is outrageous.

The run is certainly made or lost in the first sixty feet.

I was really surprised myself. I got spanked by a stock 1G Eclipse on the 1st run. His 60' was 1.9 But his trap speed was only 92 MPH.
