Got car back after tranny replaced

Well, I dropped my 02 CLS off at Acura Carland in Duluth GA on Friday morning and it was finished today. They had the car a total of 6 days if you count the weekend. Not bad, I was expecting much worse.

I've only driven it about 10 miles but it seems to shift kind of weird. But maybe just me. All in all it was a much better experience than I though it was going to be.

Well, the lower shifts still seem pretty firm, not as smooth as I was expecting.

And I don't really notice it being any slower. Is this a symptom that others have had?

To be honest, I don't think my new tranny feels ANY different than my old one.

Pulls just as well... Shifts the same, smooth, but could be better.

As long as it doesn't break again, I could care less...

Rondog feels his car slower than before with the new tranny, but i think its because the smoother shifting, it still pulls like a bitch though.

Mine has been shifting fine after the replacement... shift just as smoothly and quite strongly... no 2nd gear chirp anymore.. .though I think that was mainly due to road conditions for me...

my second tranny shifted weird too, I knew it immediatly , the shifts were harder and the tranny wouldnt always shift right when you punched the gas. after about 10,000 miles they discovered it was due to a leak of transmission fluid and replaced it again . The 3rd one is awesome and restored my faith in this car.

I had the new Tranny Installed the one with the updated ECU. THe tranny shifts much smoother, but I feel the delay in SS from 3rd to Second when i hit the gas. The old tranny shifted and instant power, the new one seems to have a delay for a smoother shift. I kinda liked the feeling in SS with the old tranny going bad, it would shift hard as hell. Kinda liked that feeling except the times when I would get no power in a shift.

right on, my car used to lunge forward right before it shifted and chirp from 1-2. the power was delivered immediatly before and after the shift. Now with the second tranny, I never chirp in second, the car feels like the power is being cut off before and after the shift. This is all when it was completely stock and after headers were installed. People have told me that it still pulls hard, but I don't feel the tug it used to have when rolling at mid speed (30-60) and I punch it. I used to give my passengers whiplash!

My 2nd tranny feels a little different....it appears to use the grade logic alot more than before. It likes to hold the lower gear longer on steep hills, and when braking on a hill it jumps into 4th gear(nothing new) but it loves to stay there even when your pushing 75mph...alot of times I have to switch to SS to up shift back to 5th......but then again I may be paranoid
