Got Boost? Yea Baby! The '03 TL-S is Blown!
I was going to wait until the Stone headers arrived, but by the time I get them back from Jet Hot, it could be July. With the long weekend upon us, and a poor weather forecast, I decided to go ahead and install the blower without the headers for now.
There was a lot of work to do, but nothing that couldn’t be accomplished with simple hand tools and a little patience. The instructions were good, although at one point they had you bolting on the blower before the throttle body was removed, and there is a non-removable, electrical connector, on the throttle body, that will hit the blower when you try to remove the throttle body. I caught that before I got too far. The best advice was to label every connector and hose as you remove them, and replace them one at a time. Saturday and Sunday were cloudy and rainy so the honey-do list was non-existent, allowing me to spend some quality time in the garage. On Monday, I took the wife for 9 holes, and finished up with the icebox and trimming the covers. The tranny cooler and gauges will have to wait until this weekend, although I’m still not sure about what gauges, and where, but the tranny cooler will be in this weekend for sure. If you are doing the install yourself, I would plan on two full days.
Any of you doubting the dollars per gain, you are wrong! There is nothing else you can do to your car to get this kind of torque and horsepower gains across the entire rpm range, except maybe the bottle. Even in stock form, this kit delivers the goods! It seems like the automatic shifts to soon. I'll try the Sport Shift, but I think it's still pulling hard at the red line. I’m sure after the headers are on, it will pull even harder up high. Now get this, I was running 27-28 mpg on the highway stock. The day after the installed it, I drove across the state and back, and pulled 30.1 mpg! I’ll dyno next week, (I hope), and I will pull the blower belt off and do a stock run also.
Thank you Jens and Scalbert! I made installing the EMS alot harder than it had to be!

Yah but Lapeer is an absolute shithole. Unless you like gravel pits, bumps in the lanes when you are going 90mph, and almost no track prep.
No thanks, I wait in line forever at Milan.
Actually Darrin you should go to Norwalk. That's a crazy badass track. If you stand in the burnout box too long you'll be stuck. The track is that godamn sticky.

It's about 2 hours from Sandusky if you take he turnpike and maybe 2 1/2 hours if you take Rt. 2. It's halfway betweeen Sandusky and Cleveland. I have only went for track rentals which is awesome because you can get like 30 runs if you want to. Friday night T&T is only $10 I think, and I'm sure you'll get at least as many runs as you would at Milan.
BTW nice looking SC kit. If I didn't have a Mustang for go-fast mods I'd be looking at that same kit. What kinda whp numbers are you shooting for?

Thanks Stallion, got to keep some what of a profesional apearance with the job. There's nothing I'd like more than some ghost flames, molded fender flares, and some wide ass rubber on some deep, chrome, wheels
jrock, I think I might be able to manage some video. give me a little time, I'll get something going.
Scooter, thanks for the help!
Thanks Cilver!
jtkz13, to be real honest I have no whp goals, but I will do the dynos to see where it's at, and remove the belt to see the stock numbers too. I can tell you though, the area under the entire curve is big enough. I'll post em when I get em.
mattg, I want to keep the exhaust quiet too. I've got headers comming, but I think the rest will stay stock.
