Good news for Stereo buffs....

I just talked to JL Troy, they are coming out with a kit for the TL and CL within the next 60-90 days. He told me to contact him in 60. I will do this!

Just letting you guys know that the dash kit that no one has will be out soon!

for aftermarket stereos guys, probably black plastic to match the factory interior.

It's not a wood, carbon fiber. This is for aftermarket stereos.

If it matches perfectly, that would be great, but some of those kits I've seen can be cheasy at times. Lets just hope this will be a good one.

yES! finally! I've been waiting for one of these for like.. forever... A custom one would have set me back like $200-300 dollars, so i scrapped the project days ago.

is there a website?

Dash Piece

I have my dash at a custom audio place. They have sent out the pieces and a company is going to patent the dash piece. He has all the figures in the computer and the molds are ready to go. He is waiting on the plastics now. He is making a couple of configurations too. Mine(which is 1 din with center channel below it). A double din setup and a single din setup. I also think he was going to do one more but I forget what it is.

So just an FYI, people are working on getting us a kit.

This kit is for a 2001 CLS but I believe the dash piece is exactly the same for the TL's...

Re: Dash Piece

What plastics are they using? Does it look just like stock?

Ok I just checked out their website. It seems to me they have quality products out there, which match perfectly. Hopefully for the CL it will be the same way.

I do not know exactly what plastics, but it is suppose to look just like stock framing. I will post pics when I get the finished product next week.
