Forum Suggestion

Mods, you can take me out back and beat me with a stick if this seems like a dumb idea but here goes.

Not many people here search the BM section for parts. I rarely do. I know its against the rules to post an ad in any subforum other then the BM, but what if we had a sticky of parts for sale?

Basically, you would post your ad just as you would now in the BM, then paste the link with a title (such as "19" Wheels") in a post. Nothing more, nothing less. No pictures. No prices. Just what you are selling, and the link. That way, we have a database and know right away that someone is selling something in the BM. It would help with exposure for alot of people.

Yay, or nay?

u can already do that in the region section. post a thread, and a link to ur sale. good for local sales but not any help for others.

if we do what u want, it might get cluttered up in the forums

I don't know about anyone else, but I have the BM as a permanent fixture of Google Reader. Never know what deals you may find, so I don't want to miss one. :-)

It would be even cooler if we could just search 2g CL/TL parts

This would really help the 1st genners because of such few parts in the BM.

Exactly. Theres a metric shit-ton of 3rd gen TL parts in the BM (not hating on the 3rd geners), and being able to seperate the CL stuff from the masses would help out tremendously. Especially when you're the seller because some of the guys on the CL side dont venture over to the regional area or look at the BM often. The BM is a fast paced area that gets tons of new posts daily, so being able to easily navigate will help out both sellers and buyers.

Sub forums for wheels, 1st Gen, 2nd Gen, Etc...

Really annoying to sift through pages of stuff to find one listing that's applicable.

Subforums would be good, but I actually like the original idea, just like the sticky in the region threads, but in each model (and generation)'s actual page

Creating more sub-forums will make a mess out of the parent forum. As suggested, just use the BM and post links in the Regions Sections. I know the search function works just fine.

I found all kinds of parts in the BM when I had my CL. I know you can do the same.
